En stock

In the collection Batailles et Témoignages, here is a new book devoted to the career of a Ger- man from Romania, born in Kronstadt in the Carpathians and enrolled in the SS, promoted to officer. He fought in Normandy.
At last a book describing one of the Volksdeutsche (the German minorities mainly from Central Europe) who were enrolled in the Waffen-SS, proud of their origins and who gave the German Army some great soldiers, like Arthur Phelps.
We follow this young German from Romania on his way in the Verfügungstruppen then through several officer schools, and his transfer when the Hohenstaufen was created for training, which gives us a broader view on this division’s formation. The initial fighting in Galicia and in Normandy up to Hill 112 where our officer was seriously wounded and came to the end of his military career.
Lots of illustrations with numerous photos up till now unknown.
