Combat Headgear in the German Army during the World War One
The aim of this book is to present all the German headgear worn during WWI, the Pikenhaube, shakos, tschapkas, colbacks, Stahlhelm and the various Mütze are all shown in detail. The headgear is presented with all its accessories, like camouflage covers, helmet covers, etc., the frontal protection plates (Stirnpanzer) and all the markings and special features.
This is done from two points of view: the historical, around several personalities, units and pres- tigious regiments (92 IR Brunswick, Ernst Jünger and the 73 FR, machine gunners, Sturmtruppen, etc.) and the uniform point of view with all the items needed to identify and authenticate objects. We present hitherto unpublished illustrations and information. For the time being this book on German 1914-1918 headgear is the only one on the subject.
