This book gives the reader the opportunity to discover this page from History. The first part gives the units on both sides, and reviews the German defensive positions in detail. In the second part, the book evokes the assault waves coming in one after the other, follows step by strep the difficult advance of the GIs on the beach under a deluge of fire, in the middle of anti-landing obstacles and above all, it retraces in words and pictures all the violence and the horror of the fighting.
