FLAK DE LA LEIBSTANDARTE

The author presents here the Flak unit of one of most the prestigious divisions, the Leib­ standarte. The AA gunners in this unit were also engaged against land targets thanks to the power of their famous their 88s and the rate of fire from lighter guns, saturating the enemy infantry with their fire. We follow this unit in Serbia, in Greece where it distinguished itself,
but especially in the Ukraine, in Normandy, then in the Ardennes, and finally in Hungary. This work is supported mainly by eye-witness accounts from veterans and is richly illustrated – more than 205 photos – most of which are unpublished.
