After Operation Cobra, Monty transferred the VII Corps and XXX Corps divisions to the Caumont sector for an attack launched on 30 July: this was Bluecoat with the capture of Mont Pinçon (9-15 August) and the attack towards Flers. The British losses were very high against the Tigers and the Jagdpanthers in the elite German units. This detailed study is based on a lot of photographs, maps and testimonies, most of them unpublished, as well as the units’ logbooks.
