The author, a Berliner, presents us a chronicle in which we follow Wilhelm Mohnke, from 1933 in Berlin, to his first fights, his wounds, the Battle of the Bulge at the head of the HJ and then, above all, the final battle in Berlin where he became the military commander of the Chancellery. Numerous unpublished documents (almost 150) and a lot of veterans’ testimonies. Exceptional.
