This third volume tells the story of a tragic period in the story of this famous armoured division engaged on the Eastern Front. It was only defensive fighting then, in increasingly terrible conditions, until the capitulation. The book gives a number of eye-witness accounts, enabling the reader to appreciate what this apocalyptic figh- ting was like. Besides, this new book is accompanied by exceptional illustrations, especially for this phase of the war, thanks to the talents of the war correspondents, since this division was used a lot for propaganda purposes.
